I think their recent AGM was picketed by protesters on this very point and we would all do well to keep a close eye on what companies like this are getting up to.

Cheers,

Jim Jim Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00258147767051200157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8578343158425987632.post-82716462159717959712013-06-07T22:24:19.344+01:002013-06-07T22:24:19.344+01:00G4S - I was reading today that this company operat...G4S - I was reading today that this company operates prisons in Israel where it locks up 12 year olds and keeps them in solitary confinement. Does anyone really want to work for a company bereft of any understanding of basic Probation values ? As a recent retiree I hope that former colleagues will wake up and show resistance to the changes. Does anyone know names involved in the alleged sex scandal that will supposedly bring down this Govt. if made public ? We once had localism – with 20% of funding coming from the local authorities, at one time there was fifty-four probation areas, at one time the service consisted of probation officers with a few auxiliaries, at one time there was no community service, no accredited programmes, no seconded prison probation officers.
