Then I replaced dismay with utter disbelief, which became outrage, then depression, which moved on to severe despair. I have learned to self medicate with various over-the-counter preparations including beer, wine & spirits. In any given 24-hour period I can now access ALL of the above emotions, in any order & without warning.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8578343158425987632.post-36594821490777993092018-04-29T21:07:51.913+01:002018-04-29T21:07:51.913+01:00On a side note but still under the correct heading...On a side note but still under the correct heading of “a broken system, it looks like Home Sec Amber Rudd has finally been caught with her pants down!

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/apr/29/amber-rudd-letter-to-pm-reveals-ambitious-but-deliverable-removals-target

“The private letter from Amber Rudd to Downing Street in which she sets an “ambitious but deliverable” target for an increase in the enforced deportation of immigrants has been published by the Guardian in full for the first time.”

I think resignation by Wednesday latest!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8578343158425987632.post-84689710832541920602018-04-29T20:37:13.206+01:002018-04-29T20:37:13.206+01:00There seem to be too many close to Labour and with...There seem to be too many close to Labour and within Labour who so dislike Corbyn as leader that they will make sure a Corbyn style Government will not come to office despite the obvious failures of the current & last Conservative led Governments. Also the previous Lib Dem/Conservative and New Labour Governments before that were seriously flawed.

To compound matters HM Parliament is also not fit for purpose as too much legislation is getting through that fails in its purpose, and Ministers are not being held to account when their departments fail to deliver effective programmes.

Just consider, for example, all the disastrous Information Technology projects over the last twenty odd years.
